Former Netflix Data Lead Joins Cleantech Startup Lumin  

Brian Sullivan named head of data engineering at Charlottesville-based firm focused on harnessing rich data to enable distributed energy and impact climate change

Charlottesville, Va – November 13, 2018 – Today Lumin, a technology company focused on data-driven insights and control through its smart energy platform, announced Brian Sullivan will join the firm as head of data engineering.  Sullivan spent five years at Netflix, the world's leading video streaming service, where he was director of the Internet giant's Streaming Data Science and Engineering team.

Prior to Netflix, Sullivan's experience spans the analytic stack, including software engineering, data architecture, reporting/visualization, and analysis. He has also worked across a number of domains including virtual worlds, banking, retail, automobile traffic measurement, and fingerprint recognition systems.
